Getting started

Start with the people, then the work

A practical first route through CanYouJust, from capacity to a usable forecast.

Build a plan that can happen

A requested finish is not a resource plan. CanYouJust calculates when the work can finish using the people and productive hours actually available.

  1. Check Team & capacity. Confirm working days, start/finish intervals and breaks.
  2. Add work from Projects. Search a configured Monday board, or choose a local-only project.
  3. Give its first stage estimated and remaining effort, resources and any local earliest-start constraint.
  4. Add further stages and explicit prerequisites where sequencing is required.
  5. Open Timeline, select work and read Why this date.
  6. Choose a baseline when the forecast is a useful commitment to compare against.

Keep the ownership clear

Monday owns the job. CanYouJust owns the schedule. A Monday business status is useful meeting context; it is not a stage completion instruction. Monday date and timeline fields are not scheduling inputs.

You do not need a personal Monday connection to plan. See linking Monday work, capacity and setting a baseline.
