Forecast history

Choose a project baseline

Preserve a useful forecast so later movement has a clear comparison point.

A deliberate comparison

A baseline is a feasible forecast you explicitly choose to preserve. It is not automatically the first calculation, yesterday's date or the live-plan ghosts in a What If comparison.

  1. Open the project and choose Explore history.
  2. Review the current live finish and its assumptions.
  3. Choose Set baseline when that forecast is the right comparison point.

The selecting user and time are retained. Later planning edits, Apply Changes and recalculations leave it unchanged. This release has no reset-baseline action.

Read the dates separately

Original recorded forecast is the first observation. Previous recorded forecast is the prior meaningful record. Current live forecast uses today's inputs. Chosen baseline remains the date you selected.

Movement from the baseline uses its preserved named reference calendar, excluding breaks, leave and recurring commitments. It is a reference working-hour measure, not a claim that every resource experienced exactly that delay.
