Archive is reversible
Open a project's details and choose Archive project. Review the confirmation, then confirm. The project leaves active Projects, Timeline, What Moved and Presentation views. Its stages, dependencies, Monday link, chosen baseline and recorded forecast history remain available.
In Projects choose Show archived projects, open the retained project, then choose Restore project. It returns to active planning and its forecast recalculates using today's effort, people and availability. A restore preserves earlier observations; it does not pretend today's dates are the old commitment.
Dependencies remain explicit
An active project or stage cannot depend on a project you are archiving. Remove the relevant relationship deliberately, or archive the dependent project first. Restoration requires restoring its archived prerequisites first. CanYouJust does not silently unlink work or treat cancelled prerequisites as completed.
Archived work is omitted from normal new-prerequisite selectors. Existing retained relationships remain visible so you can remove them before restoring. See project and stage dependencies.
Delete an accidental stage
Open the stage editor, choose Delete stage, and read its confirmation. Deletion is permanent. It removes the stage, its resource assignments and its outgoing prerequisites. Recorded project forecasts and explanation history remain; the current project forecast recalculates.
Deletion is blocked while another stage depends on it, including work in archived projects. It is also blocked for the last stage of a project that is a whole-project prerequisite. Remove those relationships deliberately first. A Monday-linked job is not deleted from Monday by removing a local stage.
For cancelled projects with meaningful history, prefer archiving the project. Delete a stage only when it genuinely should no longer be part of the delivery plan.
