Fast in, with the consequences visible
- On Timeline choose Can you just…
- Describe the work and select the person doing it.
- Choose effort or enter minutes. Expand When if it should start later.
- Use Preview impact first to inspect affected projects before committing, or Add to live plan to save the request immediately.
An interruption reserves productive capacity for that person. Planned stages use the remaining availability. The forecast still respects all prerequisites and shared-resource requirements.
It may move more than its own hours
Losing a shared work window can push a small review into another day. Dependencies can carry that consequence into another project. Read the impact and deadline information rather than assuming four hours of work means four calendar hours of delay.
Preview is temporary until Apply Changes. Discard leaves the live plan and forecast history unchanged. See What If and collaboration.
